A complete AI marketing stack for one person costs $271 a month, or $3,252 a year, when every tool is billed monthly. Move every line that offers annual billing onto it and the same eight tools come to $231.83 a month, which is about $470 a year less. Those eight subscriptions cover copy, email, avatar video, voiceover, editing, short clips, and funnels.

Every price on this page comes from the stack table in my one-person marketing machine guide, pulled from each vendor’s own pricing page in August 2026. That guide explains the workflow. This page does the accounting: which line costs what, where two tools do the same job, what the $0 version cannot do, and how many sales the full bill needs before it pays for itself.

The biggest single line is the funnel builder. If you want the feature detail behind that $97, the ClickFunnels review covers what the Launch plan includes. Here I only care about the money.

TL;DR: Eight tools, $271 a month billed monthly or $231.83 on annual billing, priced from each vendor’s pricing page (ClickFunnels and seven others, verified August 2026). ClickFunnels alone is 35.8% of the bill. A $0 version exists for testing an offer. At $271, the stack breaks even on three sales of a $97 product.

Eight Tools Make Up the $271 Bill

The stack has eight lines and the largest is the funnel builder at $97 a month (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026). The other seven range from $15 to $35. Here is the full table, with the annual column showing the per-month price when you prepay a year.

FunctionToolPlanMonthlyAnnual billing
Copy, strategy, swipe-file analysisClaude ProPro$20$17/mo

Email list and sequencesKitCreator, 1,000 subs$33$32.50/mo
VSLs and avatar videoHeyGenCreator$29$24/mo

Short-form clips from long videoOpus ClipStarter$15not shown
Funnels, pages, checkoutClickFunnelsLaunch$97$81/mo
Total$271$231.83/mo

All eight prices were verified on the vendor pricing pages in August 2026. Two lines carry their monthly price into the annual column: ChatGPT Plus does not offer annual billing (OpenAI, verified August 2026), and Opus Clip does not show an annual rate on its pricing page (Opus Clip, verified August 2026). So the annual total assumes six tools prepaid and two paid monthly.

The annual math works out like this. $231.83 times 12 is $2,781.96. $271 times 12 is $3,252. The gap is $470.04 a year, and $16 of the monthly saving comes from ClickFunnels alone (from $97 to $81). Descript is the next biggest annual discount at $11 a month.

ClickFunnels and the Video Tools Take 73 Cents of Every Dollar

ClickFunnels is 35.8% of the monthly bill on its own, $97 of $271 (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026). The four production tools that handle video, voice, editing, and clips add up to $101, or 37.3%. Together those two groups take 73.1% of the spend. Writing and email split the remaining 27%.

Here is the grouping I use. I put HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Descript, and Opus Clip together as “production” because they all touch the video pipeline. Kit sits on its own as the email line. Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus are the writing pair.

GroupToolsMonthlyShare of $271
Funnels and checkoutClickFunnels Launch$9735.8%
Video productionHeyGen $29 + ElevenLabs $22 + Descript $35 + Opus Clip $15$10137.3%
AI writingClaude Pro $20 + ChatGPT Plus $20$4014.8%
EmailKit Creator$3312.2%
Total$271100%

(The four shares sum to 100.1% because each is rounded to one decimal.)

Two things stand out. The production group is four separate subscriptions and still costs only $4 more than the single funnel line. And the writing pair, the part of the stack that does the most work in the one-person machine, is the cheapest group after email. The expensive part of solo marketing is distribution and checkout, not the AI itself.

Two Overlaps Hide $35 to $55 of Cuttable Spend

Descript, Opus Clip, and HeyGen all touch short-form video, and Claude Pro and ChatGPT Plus both write. That is $141 of the $271 spread across five tools where at least two do adjacent jobs (Descript, Opus Clip, HeyGen, verified August 2026). Trim the overlap and the bill drops to $236 or $216.

The writing overlap is the easier call. The source table lists ChatGPT Plus as a “second opinion on drafts.” A second opinion is useful, and it is also the first thing to lose when cash is tight. Drop it and you save $20 a month. Claude Pro carries the copy, strategy, and swipe-file analysis on its own.

The video overlap needs one decision. Descript at $35 is the full editor. Opus Clip at $15 exists to cut short clips from long video. If you are willing to cut those clips by hand inside Descript, Opus Clip is the line to cut, and you save $15. If you barely edit and mostly repurpose, keep Opus Clip and challenge the $35 Descript line instead.

Cut order, cheapest first: ChatGPT Plus ($20), then Opus Clip ($15). That takes the stack from $271 to $236. Cut Descript instead of Opus Clip and it lands at $216. Either way, the funnel builder and the email tool stay, because nothing else in the table replaces them.

The $0 Stack Works Until You Need a Checkout

Every line in the paid stack except ClickFunnels has a free tier you can start on. Kit’s Newsletter plan is free to 10,000 subscribers (Kit, verified August 2026), and beehiiv Launch is free to 2,500 (beehiiv, verified August 2026). Claude Free, HeyGen Free, ElevenLabs Free, and Opus Clip Free cover the rest.

That free stack does real work. You can write the emails and the VSL script, generate a first avatar video with a voiceover, cut clips from it, and mail a list. Nothing about the one-person machine’s workflow requires a paid plan on day one.

What it cannot do is sell. There is no funnel builder in the free stack. A landing page with an opt-in form is not a checkout, an order bump, or an upsell. The moment you need to take money you are back at the $97 line, or you need a different answer.

The honest free answer is Systeme.io. Its Free plan gives you 3 funnels, 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, 1 course, and 1 custom domain with no card (Systeme.io, verified 2026). When I tested the free plan for the Systeme.io review, it took payments and ran a sequence without asking me to upgrade. The templates are plainer and the checkout is simpler than ClickFunnels, but it is a working funnel at $0.

So the true $0 stack is: Claude Free, Kit Newsletter or beehiiv Launch, HeyGen Free, ElevenLabs Free, Opus Clip Free, and Systeme.io Free for the pages and checkout. Run it until the list pays for the first upgrade.

Three Tiers: $0, $150, and $271

The stack sorts into three tiers, and the middle one costs $150 a month: Claude Pro at $20, Kit Creator at $33, and ClickFunnels Launch at $97 (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026). Every number below comes from the eight-row table, with no tools added.

Starter: $0

The free stack from the previous section. It fits someone who has not validated an offer yet. You do not know whether the VSL converts, so you should not be paying $271 a month to find out. Video quality is limited by the free tiers and there is no paid funnel builder, but the frameworks work the same.

Lean: $150

Claude Pro ($20) plus Kit Creator ($33) plus ClickFunnels Launch ($97). This is the tier for someone who has proof the offer sells and is now selling it through pages, checkout, and email. Video stays on the free tiers or gets skipped. Everything the machine writes is covered. Everything it sells through is covered. Nothing fancy gets rendered.

Full: $271

All eight lines. This is for the operator who is shipping a new video frontend every week and needs the production pipeline paid up. If you are not producing weekly video, the Full tier is $121 a month of tools you are not using (the four production tools plus the second AI writer).

Most solo operators belong in Lean for longer than they think. The jump from $150 to $271 buys a video pipeline, and a video pipeline only pays when it runs.

The Full Stack Breaks Even at Three Sales of a $97 Product

At $271 a month, the stack pays for itself at three sales of a $97 product, one sale of a $497 product, or one sale of a $997 product. That is the whole bill covered, with the $97 funnel line (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026) being the largest piece to earn back.

The math, rounded up to whole sales because you cannot sell 2.79 of something:

Product priceSales needed at $271/moSales needed at $150/mo (Lean)Sales needed at $231.83/mo (annual)
$973 (2.79)2 (1.55)3 (2.39)
$4971 (0.55)1 (0.30)1 (0.47)
$9971 (0.27)1 (0.15)1 (0.23)

Three sales a month of a $97 product is the number to hold onto. Below it, the Full stack costs more than it earns and you should be on Lean or Starter. Above it, every extra sale is margin. On a $497 or $997 offer, one sale a month covers everything, which is why higher-ticket offers make the full production pipeline easier to justify.

Two caveats on that table. It covers software only. Ad spend, if you run ads, is a separate line and a much bigger one. And it assumes the sale is yours to keep; if you are promoting someone else’s product at a commission, divide the sales price by your commission rate before you read the table.

ClickFunnels Is the Line to Challenge, and Systeme.io Is the $17 Answer

ClickFunnels Launch costs $97 a month and Systeme.io Startup costs $17, so a pages-only seller who switches saves $80 a month, or $960 a year (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026; Systeme.io, verified 2026). That one swap takes the full stack from $271 to $191.

Who is a pages-only seller? Someone who needs an opt-in page, a sales page, and a checkout, and does not need a 2-step order form, native one-click upsells, or the ClickFunnels template library. Systeme.io Startup gives you 10 funnels, 5,000 contacts, 5 courses, 10 automation rules, and 3 custom domains at $17, with unlimited emails and no per-send fees.

Where the $97 earns its keep is on a validated offer running paid traffic. ClickFunnels’ 2-step checkout captures the email from people who abandon before paying, and the order bump and upsell flow is the most complete in its class. On a funnel doing volume, those two features can be worth more than $80 a month. On a funnel doing three sales a month, they are not.

The full plan-by-plan comparison is in ClickFunnels pricing 2026, and the head-to-head is in ClickFunnels vs Systeme.io. If you want the feature detail behind the $97, the ClickFunnels review walks through the Launch plan.

Note that Systeme.io Startup also replaces Kit for many solo operators, because unlimited emails are included. That is a further $33 off the stack, which I have left out of the $191 figure above to keep the comparison to a single swap.

Verdict: Start at $0, Pay for the Funnel Builder When the Offer Converts

The stack is $271 a month at full strength, $231.83 on annual billing, and $150 in its Lean form (ClickFunnels and the seven other vendor pricing pages, verified August 2026). Which one you should pay for depends on one question: has the offer sold yet?

If it has not, run Starter. Claude Free, a free email tier, the free video tools, and Systeme.io Free for the checkout. It costs nothing and it tells you whether anyone buys.

If it has, move to Lean. Claude Pro, Kit, and ClickFunnels Launch at $150. That is the tier I would put most solo operators on, and it breaks even at two $97 sales a month. Add the video tools one at a time as a weekly frontend becomes a habit rather than a plan.

The one line that most people pay for too early is the $97. It is also the one line that most people underrate once they have a converting offer and are pushing traffic at it. Pay for it when it is doing work.

I run my own funnels on ClickFunnels, and the Launch plan is where I would start. The trial is 14 days with no card, and the first payment carries a 30-day money-back guarantee. Start the 14-day ClickFunnels trial once the offer is proven, and see the ClickFunnels review for the full feature breakdown first if you are still deciding.

FAQ: Solo AI Stack Costs

How much does an AI marketing stack cost for a solopreneur?

A full eight-tool stack costs $271 a month billed monthly, or $231.83 a month on annual billing, which is about $470 a year less. It covers AI writing, email, avatar video, voiceover, editing, clips, and funnels. Prices are from each vendor’s pricing page, with ClickFunnels Launch at $97 the largest line (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026).

What is the cheapest AI stack for a one-person business?

The cheapest working stack is $0: Claude Free, Kit Newsletter (free to 10,000 subscribers) or beehiiv Launch (free to 2,500), HeyGen Free, ElevenLabs Free, Opus Clip Free, and Systeme.io Free for pages and checkout, which allows 3 funnels and 2,000 contacts (Kit, verified August 2026; Systeme.io, verified 2026).

Is ClickFunnels worth $97 in a solo stack?

It depends on whether the offer has sold. At $97, ClickFunnels Launch is 35.8% of the $271 stack (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026). It earns that on a validated offer with paid traffic, where the 2-step checkout and native upsells matter. A pages-only seller can use Systeme.io Startup at $17 and save $80 a month.

Can you run a solo business on free AI tools?

Yes, up to the point of taking payment. Free tiers of Claude, Kit or beehiiv, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, and Opus Clip cover writing, email, video, voice, and clips (Kit, verified August 2026). None of them includes a checkout. Systeme.io’s Free plan fills that gap with 3 funnels and 2,000 contacts at no cost (Systeme.io, verified 2026).

How much does annual billing save on the stack?

About $470 a year. Monthly billing is $271 a month, or $3,252 a year. Annual billing on the six tools that offer it brings the stack to $231.83 a month, or $2,781.96 a year. ClickFunnels supplies $16 of the monthly saving on its own, dropping from $97 to $81 (ClickFunnels, verified August 2026). ChatGPT Plus and Opus Clip stay at monthly rates.
