👍 Great

ClickFunnels charges $97/month for the Startup plan and $297/month for Pro. For a funnel builder. In 2026, that pricing feels hard to justify when you look at what else is out there.

And the price is only part of the problem. The pages load slow, the editor can feel clunky, and you still need separate tools for email marketing, CRM, and community. Stack all that up and you’re easily past $400/month before you’ve made a sale.

I’ve been running funnels for affiliate offers across multiple platforms, and here’s where the alternatives actually stand right now.

Quick comparison

PlatformPricingFree plan?Best for
Systeme.io$0 - $97/moYesBudget-conscious marketers
GoHighLevel$97 - $497/moNoAgencies, multi-client
Kartra$119 - $549/moNoAdvanced automation
Kajabi$143 - $399/moNoCourse + funnel combos
ThriveCart$495 one-timeNoCheckout pages, upsells
Leadpages$49 - $99/moNoLanding pages
GetResponse$19 - $119/moNoEmail + funnels + webinars

For reference, ClickFunnels Startup gets you 3 workspaces and 3 domains. The $297 Pro plan bumps that to 10 and 10. Neither includes email marketing worth using.

1. Systeme.io — the free option that actually works

Systeme.io has a free plan. One funnel, 2,000 contacts, unlimited emails, zero transaction fees. That’s not a trial. That’s a permanent free tier.

Paid plans run $17 to $97/month. At the $17 level you get 10 funnels and 5,000 contacts. The $97 plan is unlimited everything. Same price as ClickFunnels Startup, except you get email marketing, affiliate program management, course hosting, and blogging tools included.

I’d pick Systeme.io if you’re starting out or running a lean operation. The 0% transaction fees alone save real money. If you’re doing $10K/month through your funnels, a 5% fee on another platform would cost you $500. Here it costs you nothing.

The editor isn’t as flashy as ClickFunnels. The templates are more basic. But it does what matters — captures leads, delivers content, sends emails, and processes payments — without charging you $97/month for the privilege.

2. GoHighLevel — if you manage clients

GoHighLevel starts at $97/month and goes up to $497. The draw is the white-label SaaS mode. You can rebrand the entire platform and resell it to your own clients. Agencies use this to replace 5-6 different tools and charge clients a monthly fee for access.

Multi-client management works well. Separate sub-accounts, separate pipelines, separate reporting. If you’re running funnels for other people, this is where GoHighLevel earns its price.

Here’s the catch: hidden usage fees. SMS, phone calls, email sending — all metered separately. I’ve seen reports of those costs inflating the monthly bill by 30-50% on top of the base plan. The $97 plan can quietly become $140-150 when you’re actually using the features.

For solo operators running their own funnels, it’s overkill. For agencies managing 10+ clients, the consolidation pays for itself.

3. Kartra — deep automation, steep learning curve

Kartra runs $119 to $549/month. It’s expensive, and it knows it. What you get is a genuinely powerful all-in-one platform with automation sequences that can do things ClickFunnels can’t touch.

Built-in helpdesk, behavioral automation triggers, lead scoring, CRM, membership sites — all native. No integrations needed. The “if/then” automation builder lets you create workflows based on what people actually do on your pages, not just whether they opted in.

The downside is real: the learning curve is steep. You can spend weeks just figuring out how all the pieces connect. If you want plug-and-play simplicity, this isn’t it. If you’re an advanced marketer who wants granular control over every step of the customer journey, Kartra gives you that control.

4. Kajabi — for course creators who need funnels

Kajabi starts at $143/month after they killed the Kickstarter plan in January 2026. That’s a painful entry price. But if you’re selling courses alongside funnels, Kajabi might actually save you money versus running ClickFunnels plus a separate course platform.

Their “Pipelines” feature replaces traditional funnel builders. Same concept, different name. The Kajabi AI suite helps with content creation and marketing copy. Course delivery is polished — mobile app, drip content, quizzes, certificates.

At $143/month minimum, though, you need to be generating enough revenue to justify that cost. This is a tool for established course creators, not people testing their first funnel idea.

If you’re exploring the course and community space, I’d also look at platforms like Skool that take a different approach entirely — community-first with courses built in, rather than courses with community tacked on. I’ve reviewed several Skool communities running this model. Check out my AI Video Bootcamp review to see how that works in practice.

5. ThriveCart — $495 once and you’re done

ThriveCart costs $495 one time. No monthly fee. No transaction fee beyond standard payment processing. The math is straightforward: that’s about 5 months of ClickFunnels Startup, and then you never pay again.

The platform builds high-converting checkout pages with order bumps, upsells, downsells, and A/B testing. Affiliate management is built in. If your funnel’s job is to get someone to a checkout page and maximize the cart value, ThriveCart does that extremely well.

What it doesn’t do: full funnel building with landing pages and opt-in sequences. It handles the money side, not the traffic side. You’ll need a separate tool for landing pages — Leadpages, a WordPress site, whatever you prefer. Pair ThriveCart with a $49 landing page tool and you’re still under ClickFunnels pricing by month two.

6. Leadpages — simple landing pages, no bloat

Leadpages costs $49 to $99/month. It’s not trying to be an all-in-one platform. It builds landing pages and opt-in forms with solid conversion rates, and that’s about it.

The editor is faster and cleaner than ClickFunnels. Templates convert well out of the box. If your funnel is a landing page connected to an email tool connected to a payment processor, Leadpages handles the front end at half the price.

No built-in email. No course delivery. No CRM. That’s either a problem or a feature depending on how you look at it. For people who already have an email platform they like and just need better landing pages, Leadpages makes sense without forcing you to switch everything.

7. GetResponse — email platform that grew funnels

GetResponse started as an email marketing tool and expanded into funnels, webinars, and landing pages. Plans run $19 to $119/month. The AI-powered funnel builder is a nice touch — it generates funnel structures based on your goal and industry.

At the $19 level you get email marketing and basic landing pages. The $59 Marketing Automation plan adds the funnel builder, webinars, and advanced automation. Even the top tier at $119 is cheaper than ClickFunnels Startup.

The tradeoff: the funnel builder is competent but not deep. If funnels are your primary tool, a dedicated builder will give you more flexibility. If email is your primary tool and you want some funnel capability without paying for a separate platform, GetResponse hits that middle ground.

Which one should you pick?

Stop paying $97-297/month if you’re not using everything ClickFunnels offers. Most people aren’t.

If you’re just starting: Systeme.io free plan. Zero risk, zero cost.

If you sell courses: Kajabi, or skip the traditional funnel approach entirely and look at community platforms like Skool. The AI Automation Society+ community is a good example of how people are building businesses without traditional funnel builders at all.

If you run an agency: GoHighLevel. Just budget for the usage fees.

If you want to stop paying monthly forever: ThriveCart at $495 one-time.

If email is your main channel: GetResponse gives you funnels as a bonus.

The funnel builder market has moved past ClickFunnels pricing. The tools above do 80-100% of what CF does at a fraction of the cost. Pick the one that matches how you actually work, not the one with the biggest marketing budget.
